Our Radio Show

Radio shows are on the first Thursday of every month, 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. WFTR 1450 AM, WZRV 95.3 FM. Our new host is Eka Kapiotis. If you’d like to be on the show or have an idea for a speaker‚ contact Eka at 635-7244 or email at ekapiotis@comcast.net.

Eka Kapiotis is New Radio Host. Many of you know Eka as a Reiki practitioner, and master teacher. She is also one of the founding members of the FRWRC and has been active with all of our programs and services during the fifteen years of our existence. That she will now be the voice of the FRWRC which seems perfect. Do tune in on the first Thursday of every month at 12:30 PM and hear Eka interview some of the amazing women that in live in our valley. Finding Your True Voice

Experience sound with full awareness of the vibration. Explore your body with mindful attention. Feel the aliveness as we mindfully explore meditation‚ toning and singing bowls. In this half-day workshop‚ participants will work with writing‚ experiential music and various other exercises to deepen their experience of self-expression. The workshop will be held on Sunday afternoon‚ May 6 at JoEllen’s home near Browntown. The cost will be $45 and a percentage of the proceeds will go towards FRWRC grant programs. The workshop leaders are Martha Whitney‚ a licensed family therapist‚ and Carol Colacurcio‚ certified in using sound for health and well-being. If you are interested in attending this workshop‚ please contact the FRWRC at 636-7007. Directions will be sent upon registration.

Monthly Board Meeting

For upcoming meeting dates see our new calendar below. We will be meeting on the second Wednesday of every month. This is a permanent change. All meetings will be held at our office located at 316 N. Royal Avenue‚ Front Royal. Time is 5:30 — 6:30 pm. Meetings are open to everyone.

We are trying out a new calendar function. It allows you to see what is happening over the next few months. To view the information for the event, click on the event shown in the day of the month. To see the next month click on the >> or the previous month click on the << at the top of the calendar. Unfortunately, this is not an interactive calendar so you can't add new events. But the calendar will be updated every couple of weeks.
